The test
- 40 questions: 20 reading and 20 listening.
- 25 minutes for each part.
- Four choices for every question.
- To pass: 60 out of 100 for factory work. 45 out of 100 for service work.
- To pass the harder one you need 24 of 40 correct.
What the questions ask
Reading: words in a sentence, signs, job adverts, machines and safety at work.
Listening: numbers, pictures, short talks, and safety at work.
How to use it
- 15 minutes a day is worth more than two hours on Sunday.
- Pick one unit. Do it until the words feel easy.
- Say the word out loud. That helps listening too.
- Wrong answers are the useful ones. Keep them.
The plan
Four things. In this order.
- Health. The head pain comes first. Free checks if we can get them.
- Food and sleep. Food first, from week one. Sleep is the next thing we look at.
- Paperwork. SSS and PhilHealth. Then TESDA if a Cebu class opens.
- Work and Korea. The Cebu job applications. Korea is a ticket, not the plan.
Money
PHP 1,250 a week, about USD 20. That is the weekly floor.
It comes every week. It is not tied to how much you reply.
Bigger one-off costs are looked at one at a time.
